The centerpice is this large playset with three different slides: a steep speed slider, a corkscrew and a short slide for the little ones. There are a number of levels to climb and more than one way to get back down to Earth. The play surface is a soft sand.

Nearby is this smaller playset for young children. It features two shallow slides and short steps for easy climbing. There is a tic-tac-toe board and a very short tunnel.

This challenging climbing set is a pretty unique feature to Peppermint Park. The chain ladder, spiral climb and rock wall will beckon aspiring mountaineers. In the rear is a spinning log with side and overhead handles, for those kids with extra energy to burn.

There is a nice array of swings for toddlers and older kids. The chains are not coated, but the swings are in very good condition.

There is also a set of JennSwings, with an additional soft mulch play surface.

Peppermint Park provides limited free parking just off of Route 112. There are many benches and picnic tables surrounding the play area. If the noise from passing cars on 112 doesn't bother you, it's a great place to take kids if you've been shopping in the Patchogue area. There are no restrooms at this park, but there are several fast food places nearby on 112 with public facilities.
