Centereach Pool Playground
![]() |
The playground at the Centereach Pool complex provides a year-round place to play in the shadow of one of Brookhaven's large pool and sports areas. |

The playground at the Centereach pool is strictly a small child attraction. This simple playset features an easy-to-climb stairway and two sets of double slides. The rear set is much steeper than the one in front and gives a pretty fast ride. Two spiral ladders provide the only climbing spots.

The swings here are in very good condition, with coated chains and no-pinch handles. The play surface is a green rubber mulch, which can feel like a ride all by itself. The parking lot is large, paved and well-marked and provides easy access to the playground. During the summer months, the park can get very crowded. But when the pool is not open, the playground is often a quiet (albeit small) place to let kids explore.

A few whimsical anchored rockers round out the play equipment. Older kids won't find too much to keep them occupied here (unless they're at the pool), but younger ones will be happy with this playground for a short time.
