Casamento Park is located on Muncey Avenue, just west of Bay Shore Boulevard. There is a large and paved parking lot, where parking is free. There is easy access to the playground and pool from the parking area, although a drawback is that there is no fence between the play area and the parking lot. The playground itself is small, with one playset and one swingset with two swings -- one standard and one toddler swing.

There are two slides on the playset, a short and wide slide for little ones and a pretty good covered slide with a curve. The play surface at Casamento Park is a deep sand, enough to build a sandcastle if you tote a bucket of water over from the pool area.

The platforms for the two slides are on different levels, both accessible via stairs. There is one curved wire ladder to get onto the higher platform, but serious climbers won't find much here to challenge them. There is a nice view of the pool decks from the platform. The picnic area is nearby, but not close enough to keep an eye on your kids from the tables.

There are two pools at Casamento Park, a large lap pool and a wading pool for small children. There are a large number of chairs available, as well as a few tables. Admission to the pools is $3.00 for Town of Islip residents, $6.00 for non-residents. The pools open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. for the month of July, then the hours shift to 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the first half of August and finish at 11:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. after August 23rd.
