Since we're starting early, we'll give a plug for the movies under the stars at Eisenhower Park tonight. Family favorite Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is playing. If this only whets your appetite for outdoor movies, Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End is playing at the Sayville Marina on Saturday.

Two big festivals will be running all weekend for all your ride, game and junkfood needs. The Greenlawn Fireman's fair, said to be the longest running one of its kind in New York, will be happening all weekend across from the Greenlawn railroad station. Also, the Mother Cabrini Italian Feast continues this weekend at the Brentwood campus of Suffolk Community College.

The Shinnecock Indian tribe is holding their annual Pow Wow this weekend at the Shinnecock Reservation. The grounds open at 3:00 p.m. Friday and then at 10:00 a.m. through Monday. An evening bonfire at sunset each day is a highlight, along with traditional native American music, dance and food.

At the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, they're having their Old Time Music weekend, with bands playing traditional music from the nineteenth century. There will be many reenactments throughout the village, as well as some Old Time Base Ball being played by nineteenth century rules.

Finally, at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery, Tiny's Hatch Day celebrates the hatchery's giant snapping turtle with a herpetological extravaganza. There will be games and contests, including a turtle pageant -- so bring your prize leatherback!
